Last Friday, an Afghan journalist named Mustafa Kazemi posted on Facebook a harrowing story about an eight-year-old girl in the Khashrood district of Nimruz province in Afghanistan, who was sold off into marriage to a mullah in his late 50s, and who bled to death on their wedding night.
It was one of many such tragedies in a land that little notes nor long remembers such deaths. An eight-year-old girl sold into marriage and dead after a brutal sexual assault that her body could not withstand is no more noteworthy than a pack animal that collapses under a too-heavy weight. It’s time and money wasted, that’s all. Forget about it. Get another one.
Indeed, the day after Kazemi posted his account, pro-Sharia lawmakers in Afghanistan blocked a proposed Law on Elimination of Violence Against Women, which would have set criminal penalties for child marriage.

A shocking story is coming out of Everson, Washington, where a pre-teen was raped, impregnated and coerced into aborting her child.
The girl’s attacker brought her to Planned Parenthood, where she lied about how she was impregnated and subsequently had an abortion.
It was August 2012 when the preteen told clinic workers that her 14-year-old boyfriend was the baby’s father — a lie that was apparently told to protect the adult male who had perpetrated the crime.
It wasn’t until six weeks later that she told authorities what really happened. As a result, in April, Luis Gonztalez-Jose, 31, pleaded guilty to second-degree rape of a child.
Sadly, this is a very common occurrence One of the most tragic consequences of abortion on demand is how it has covered up the crimes of pedophiles. Often times by family members.
Gaza student union posts cartoon: ‘Clean the world of Jews’
The cartoon above was posted on the website of the Gaza Student Union. The character is in the colors of a ‘Palestinian’ flag, he’s throwing a Star of David in the garbage and the caption says “keep the world clean.”
The cartoon uses a Star of David rather than an explicitly Israeli symbol, indicating that it is meant to refer to Judaism or the Jewish nation as a whole and not the state of Israel alone.The student union in question is known as the Islamic Bloc – in Arabic, al-Kutla al-Islamiya. It operates in high schools, universities and other educational institutions in Gaza. Its primary purpose is to teach the next generation about the importance of, in Hamas’ words, freeing Palestine from the Israeli occupation.Peace….

A woman has been jailed for eight months after she falsely claimed she had been sexually attacked in the street leading to the arrest of an innocent man.
Diane Marie Whitehead dialled 999 and said she had been attacked in Horsforth on her way to work on the morning of July 22 last year.
She said she was walking through a ginnel when a man asked her for the time before he pushed her up against a wall and grabbed her by her throat.
She said he had a knife and cut her stomach. Martin Robertshaw prosecuting told Leeds Crown Court yesterday Whitehead gave a detailed description of the clothes her attacker was wearing. Unfortunately a man wearing clothing that matched her description had been in the area and he was arrested, said Mr Robertshaw.
He was held in custody for 23 hours before he was bailed pending further inquiries, his home was searched, his clothes were taken for forensic examination, he had to undergo DNA checks and his mobile phone was seized.
West Yorkshire Police carried out a “vast” investigation which included 38 witness statements being taken - the estimated cost was £57,900.
But on September 23 when she was seen at Weetwood police station in Leeds and when told no evidence could be found to support her account admitted she had made it up. She said she wanted to get out of a relationship and hoped to get rehoused. Michael Walsh, defending, said: “This was a lie that snowballed and she could not find a way out of it.”
Whitehead, 32, recently of Silk Mill Approach, Leeds admitted doing acts tending to pervert the course of justice and was jailed for eight months.
Glad to see the UK is finally cracking down on this, but 8 months is not nearly long enough. If the falsely accused could conceivably get 25 to life, so should the hoaxer.
